Last week, Pyer Moss became the first Black American designer since 1988 to be invited by the Chambre Syndicate to present a collection as part of the official couture schedule. After initially being postponed due to the weather, Moss delivered a collection that paid homage to the Black experience and those who helped shape it. Nothing was going to rain on this Black parade. The presentation took place at the Villa Lewaro, home of Madam C.J. Walker. Below is a look at some of Mae Jone's favorite looks from the collection.

On a special side-note, Milan Dixon, who has modeled in previous Mae Jones editorials and even graced the cover of the Spring Edit, was cast to walk the Pyer Moss Couture runway (Part 1, before the rain). Although unavailable to walk in the rescheduled show we still couldn't be happier for her! Go Milan! Below are a few BTS from her experience at the show and a quick peek inside the life of a working Black model.
